Club Day at Decoy- Cedar Lake – 3rd June

Some goods weights were enjoyed by Deeping St James AC when they fished Cedar Lake at Decoy for the final of the Knockout Cup and the first round of the Wade Cup.

It was Jason Chatham who came through in his first full season with the club using dead red maggots from peg 20 to weight carp and barbel for 127lb 8oz.

In the main match for the first round of the Wade Cup it was Jon Bowland who drew favored peg 1 and caught regularly throughout the match close in with dead maggot and catmeat to finish with 177lb 14oz, closely followed by new member Rob Upex on peg 3 with 164lb 05oz.

In third place was Tony Johnson on peg 24 who got off to a slow start until half way through the match when his swim came alive and he finished with 143lb 14oz.

Deepings next club day will be Sunday 10 June on the small lake at Kingsland.
