With the first frost of the Autumn many found the going difficult when Deeping St James AC fished the final round of the South Holland Cup Series at Lake Ross near Spalding. But Spalding angler Richard Bell found the right tactics fishing from peg 17, he started at 9 metres fishing banded 6mm pellet before changing later to just off the margins. Feeding micro pellet and maggot with catmeat on the hook he caught some quality carp to weigh 102lb 12oz, this also won him the Jim Measures Memorial Trophy.
