The Club has been in discussion with our landlord about the willow trees along the river bank between the Lake gate and the top lockup. Some are getting very top heavy and branches are already broken or over hanging swims making it difficult to cast.
We have agreed to bring in tree surgeons to address these problems. The work is planned to be carried out on 2 separate week days in June.
First work day is Tuesday 3rd June and second work day is planned for Tuesday 17th June.
On Tuesday 3rd June access to the Lake will be restricted between 09:00 and 15:00 due to health and safety reasons. Large farm machinery will be in use to help clear what the tree surgeons cut down. A small team of Club members will be helping in the clear up and managing traffic. We ask you to be patient during this time.
More details for the 17th June will be available after the work is completed on the 3rd June.
