Work Parties

Our club has some great venues that are stocked with a wide range of fish for both match and leisure anglers.
Each venue has facilities which are easy to take for granted, easy access car parking, platforms or slabbed areas to fish from, weed free swims, mowed grass and litter free pegs.

All this work is done by club members who volunteer and attend the monthly working parties.
The working parties are run by Andy Wilson, and HE NEEDS YOUR HELP – PLEASE

If you can contribute anything from a couple of hours to a whole day we would all appreciate it, we have jobs for all ages and abilities. Grass Strimming, Tree pruning, Peg maintenance, Rubbish burning, plus the usual tidying that is always done.

Work Party Rewards
Last year volunteers put in over 750 hours of work at Horseshoe Lake, the rivers Welland and Nene plus the Fish Refuge.
Attending work parties accumulates hours spent helping the club. This could then mean a discount from your following years membership. 

Simply put, the club recognises More Hours with Greater Reward

Not every member can shift logs or drag a weed rake, but we have jobs for all abilities from litter picking, grass cutting and many other light jobs that are not strenuous but contribute to maintaining our fisheries.
