Deeping anglers were competing for the Doxham Rosebowl when they fished Elm Lake at Decoy, also Neil Speechley and Ray Torrington were fishing one of the semi finals of the Knockout Cup. The winner from peg 11 was Ray Torrington who had a very slow first half of the match, but persisting with catmeat on a top two straight in front finally paid off with two thirds of his weight of 129lb 7oz coming in the last hour, In second place from peg 16 was David Marzell who fished the margins and in front on his top kit plus one with jelly pellets to weigh 115lb 7oz.. Third place went to Colin Fisher who fished at four metres and in the margins with pellet and corn to finish with 103lb 10oz from peg 5. Default section winners were Kevin Crompton and Phil Price.
