Sunday 10th July on our own Horseshoe lake with Round Two of the Wade Cup and the Individual Knockout Cup Final. A late kick off to normal proceedings with an evening match. It was a very warm day with temperature at 28 degrees and a light breeze. Lots of fish were up in the water basking in the heat.
Only 10 anglers available for this one and pegging the lake became a challenge to spread them and give everyone a good chance. As it happened fishing was tough and not many of the chosen pegs performed as we know they can during prolific pleasure sessions.
Ray Torrington got himself back to winning ways following a poor run of form. Ray finished way ahead of the rest of the field with 96lb 5oz from Peg 35. Fishing the surface on dog biscuit and using the pellet waggler.
Second place to Mick Wright with 37lb 11oz from peg 15. Mick fished the pellet waggler and method feeder using a hard pellet to the farm bank.
Third place to Phil Price with 36lb 15oz from peg 17. Phil also fished the pellet waggler and on the surface with dog biscuit.
Congratulations to Phil Price for winning the 3 way Individual Knockout Cup final for 2022. Phil beat Mike Moseley and Graham Wright.
