Warm and windy for those that headed to Decoy Lakes today. The venue’s Horseshoe Lake would host a capacity turnout of 19 anglers. For those with the pegs on the bend, the first order of the day was to agree where the boundary line was for margin fishing!
The Doxham Rose Bowl and the final matches of the Individual Knockout Cup second round were at stake.
First place following an outstanding last 90 minutes was Nathan Grech with 88 lb 6 oz from peg number 12. Nathan opted for a change in tactic to bomb and pellet to add over 70lb to his final total.
Second was Paul Wild with 58 lb 3 oz from peg number 16. Paul fished method feeder with pink wafter tight to the far bank all match.
Third place making it a Father / Son thing was Richard Grech from peg number 18 with 55 lb 8 oz. Richard fished the margin lines using worm caster and maggot.
