Great attendance today with 24 Anglers turning up for the first Club Day of the 2021 Season. A warm and blustery but dry day following the very cold and wet weather from the previous days. The Horseshoe lake at Stibbington can be a difficult venue when the nets go in for a match and today was no exception.
From one of the lake’s favoured pegs, number 19, Alan Joplin won by a small margin landing 51 lb 12 oz on the method feeder fishing across to the far bank with a wafter hookbait. Second was Nathan Grech next door on peg number 18, also method feeder fishing tight to the far bank with pink wafter. Third was Phil Price also method fishing using Wafters, hard up to the new Island on Peg 11 with 22 lb 10 oz.
